Mrs. Elmyra Canidate Johnson

Mrs. Elmyra Candidate Johnson was born on October 10, 1936 in Calhoun County, Georgia to the late J.D. Canidate and Erma Milton Canidate who both preceded her in death. She attended H.T. Singleton High School in Morgan, Georgia.

Elmyra gave her life to Christ at an early age to Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Arlington and later joined Church of Christ of Blakely, GA.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Johnson who also preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great grandchild, a sister, Ivera Gist, two brothers, James Canidate and Jummie Canidate.

Elmyra leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Lillie Harrison (Jessie Davis) of Arlington, GA, three grandchildren, Latoya Canidate, Andra Candidate, and Lemorie Johnson all of Arlington, GA; two great-grandchildren, Neveah Canidate and Aysia Canidate both of Etowah, TN, a sister, Annie Aldridge (Roy Jones) of Arlington, GA; a sister-in-law, Lorrine Canidate of Miami, FL; two very special nephews, Curtis Canidate (Lorraine) of Miami, FL and Johnny Aldridge of Arlington, GA; a very special niece, Lisa Aldridge (Raymond Williams) of Arlington, GA; a dear cousin, Willie D. Milton (Pauline) of St. Petersburg, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
